Kindergarten Program
-
The Francis T. Bresnahan School kindergarten program is designed to meet the educational needs of early childhood learners.
Our kindergarten provides a comprehensive introduction to both the academic and social aspects of school, which lay the foundation for a child’s educational career.
The curriculum is aligned with the Common Core standards to teach early literacy skills and foundational mathematical concepts.
Our educational philosophy is predicated on the belief that all children have individual differences which are best met through high quality teaching and differentiated instruction. We have structured our classrooms to ensure a variety of learning experiences that include small group and large group activities, opportunities for playing, singing and creating while exposing children to the necessary skills to build upon throughout their elementary years.
Our kindergarten program is full day, five days a week, and is free for all Newburyport residents.
